(by Kinney Athletic Shoes) White , Canvas High-top athletic Shoes 'Joe Lapchick~Playmaker' round, side badges intact. Rubber at soles,outsoles,& Toe caps is still in nice condition. only some minor wear/cracking here & there. Close-up Photos should show condition in some detail Size: *inside stencil is very hard to see, pictured.. appears to be 8 or 8 1/2 (The measurements match up to another similar pair of Size: 8 1/2 Sneakers i have here.) Sneakers measure: approx. 11 1/4" Heel to Toe (measured along bottom sole) Please refer to the pictures below,for all the specifics.. Joseph Lapchick was an American professional basketball player, mostly known for playing with the Original Celtics in the 1920s and 1930s. He is commonly regarded as the best center of his era. After ending his playing career in 1937, Lapchick became head coach at St. John's University, a position he held until 1947, when he took over the New York Knicks in the NBA. Lapchick coached the Knicks until 1957, leading them to three consecutive NBA Finals appearances (1951–53). He returned to St. John's, coaching them until 1965.
