The New Balance 990v1 Made In USA ‘Grey’ brings back the inaugural 990 model from 1982. Launching just ahead of its 40th anniversary, the iconic runner features a classic grey palette on a traditional build, featuring breathable mesh construction with soft pigskin suede overlays. Stitched atop the quarter panel is a white leather ‘N’ logo, while ‘New Balance’ is embroidered in red lettering on the metallic silver heel tab. Additional hits of crimson land on the woven tongue tag and a discreet ‘Version 1’ tag on the lateral side. Lightweight cushioning is provided by a three-layer EVA midsole, reinforced underfoot by a Vibram rubber outsole.
