The house of Maison Martin Margiela was well known for their haute couture-inspired artisanal collections. Pieces from this time were often 1 off or made in extremely limited numbers. You can often see the perfect imperfections in the design and construction. As years went on, they put a greater emphasis on their ready to wear collections and pieces produced on a much larger scale.
